Sleep Deprivation...
What do you do when you can't sleep? Do you toss and turn? Do you get angry and frustrated? Last night, was one of those crazy nights for me. My mind would NOT stop running! I layed as still as I possible could and prayed. I prayed for my family, my friends and our church. I quoted those familiar old scripture verses that I resented my mom making me learn when I was a child. It's been amazing to me that they do not return void! These old familiar words bring peace and contentment until dawn decides to appear. So... sleep deprivation? it may bring wrinkles and bags to the eyes like it did to me this morning. But, lack of sleep? brings me peace.

We snapped this pic at a local park, holding up our birth order number. I am # 7 (the perfect number in the Bible haha!)My sister Jo Anne(#4) joined us for dinner later that night. It was amazing to have 6 out of the 7 sibs together for the week. We laughed, played games, and sang for endless hours throughout the week. The cousins, who are youth pastors around the country, led with their guitars. We added parts singing the harmony to Jesus! It was an incredible moment in time that my kids and I will remember forever.

"Native"

Kaili on: "Old MacDonald"
My sister Gail and brother in law Jim, (a Pastor in Newaygo, MI) have a horse named "Trigger" and friends let us borrow three other horses for the week. In this pic, I was meeting "Trigger" for the first time. I only wish I would have taken pictures of the chickens being beheaded and running around with their heads cut off. serious! They DO that! It was kinda cool... but then again, I had Gail in front of me as a shield. My son, Logie was in his glory on this farm! He was on poop patrol every morning riding around on the tractor picking up little presents the animal type folk left there. it was not uncommon to see several deer running across the road on any given sunset. Gorgeous Michigan country!

My sister Jeannie (5 yrs older), now lives in VA. working at Liberty University and a Pastor's wife. It was great to see her at the reunion this past week. Through the rough year of trials, working full time a new church and a big move, God has brought joy to her and her family. God is amazingly good.

Thanks for praying for Cam! ha had an amazing trip with Global Expeditions to Tijuana, Mexico. He learned some really cool lessons about servanthood and selflessness. His team built a home and led VBS for the children. I know this comes as a big surprise... but Cam led the music. Just ask him about it all when you see him next. He would love to share with you about his adventures! He's pretty pumped about Jesus! Thank you for the impact you have had on his life!

Hello there!
Just a quick note to let you know that I will be out of town beginning today after church until Wednesday. The Strader family will be having a reunion gig in Muskegon. Hopefully the weather will be nice for tubing. horseback riding and beach hanging out. Please pray for a wonderful time together, getting reacquainted after so many years apart. I sure wish my mom could be here to share in the fun. It is these moments that I truly miss her. We are all different, but the same as we have her influence in our hearts and lives through out the years. I sure wish my parents could know my kids. I think they would really dig their hearts and their Love for Jesus.
I will be rushing back in town to make sure to make it to Band practice on Wednesday. This will be Mike Hall's last practice with our team as he will be leaving us and moving on to other adventures. Mike will be greatly missed on our vocal team as he as been singing with us every week for 8 years! We have been blessed to have Mike as part of our team. He brought maturity, consistency and was able to pull a part out of his back side to complete a three or four part harmony. But most of all, Mike hall has been an amazing friend to us. We are going to do a little bit of recording to try to capture some of these moments in time. Please pray as we attempt to let go and let Jesus move us closer to His image and heart.
