About Me

MJ Johns: I come from a musical family. My parents both loved God with all their might. They left behind for me a godly heritage. I am the youngest of seven kids. No that doesn't make me the runt! I am have been married to Steve for 17+ years. He was my first date at the ripe young age of 16! We have 4 kids. They keep me hoppin'! I have taken flute, piano and voice lessons for most of my growing up years. Music is in my very soul. I think you could describe me as: goofy, fun, driven and dependable.

Ps. 22:3 says: "God inhabits the praise of his people."

praise defined: vocal adoration of God

Adoration defined: act of rendering Divine honor, esteem and love.

In praising God, we declare His sovereignty and we recognize His nature and His power. Therefore, in my humble opinion, praise is completely unselfish. It is a shift from self (me!) to God almighty. Praise decentralizes ME and centralizes GOD to promote a healthy church, and most of all a healthy life!
